The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Anyone else found this game far too easy?
I played Vanilla Isaac and it was far harder than this, which was good.

Then I played this, got like 3 combo'd items and was able to just hold the fire button down to clear rooms automatically.

When I reached mom, I beat her in 15 seconds with my combo.

I had some sort of chain lighting + brown poison tears or something.

I don't know, I just feel as if this game isn't challenging enough for the hefty 30 euro it cost for the entire bundle, I don't see where the replayability is. Any help?

For now, I submitted a refund request for this game.

Yes. Mostly due to too many good and overpowered items.

It gets harder the more unlocks you have because there are many crappy items. There are also two characters which i would say are hard. Lost is hard and Keeper is ultra hard (at least for me)
There's still 4 to 6 floors after the mom bossfight though

Damnit, they shouldn't have played the credits making me think I completed the game then.

Blarg, steam were fast with their refunds and already gave me back my money.

Yeah you have to beat the game a few times to unlock the later floors

Not to mention that the first few runs are in super easy mode, it only gets into normal difficulty mode once you kill mom 5 times or so. And then there's still hard mode. Plus all the harder characters, floors and challenges you'll have to unlock first.

Basically you did the tutorial.

So you played the original, which followed the same progression system, probably took notice of the card saying "You unlocked... The Womb!' after the run, but still figured that the game which has around 400 achievements and whete people sunk multiple thousand hours in is only 20 minutes per run?

/s

But really though, while Rebirth is easier, you just were really lucky.

I say there is not enough "crappy" items and often 1-3 strong items will carry you throught out entire game. Not to mention the "game breaking" items that destroy any purpose of ballance and would not matter how many crappy items in your run.

There is 2 solutions:
1) add more bad items, which will not fix the issue and people would just focus on abusing on exploits even more
2) Nerf overpowered and unresonably cheap items. I'm looking at Magic Mushroom and Guppy 1st of all

Sorry, are you implying that Guppy is balanced or reasonable in any installment of isaac? It's practically a necessity in the original.

Guppy items aren't that cheap, you have to go to cursed rooms or take a devil deal to get one of them most of the time.
Plus, people still complain about getting crap items as is. Making more would cause more issues than solve.
As for abusing exploits, there aren't many in terms of geting what items you want. Granted, people can run mods and the dev console to get what they want regardless, so there's no actually fixing that.

Did you even finish the original BoI? I don't see how you could have thought Mom was the final boss unless you didn't finish the original.
