Help with ps3 controller

So I'm an old Isaac player, unlocked everything in the Original Isaac and Isaac Rebirth. I usually played with a xbox controller, and at some point i switched to a ps3 controller and it worked just fine.
Now i want to come back for the Afterbirth + Expansion, but my controller just won't work at all. I've looked all over the internet for fixed but can't find anything. I tried to install drivers in MotioninJoy but whenever i click on the Driver Manager tab it just fails to load the page. I know my computer recognises the Controller since when i check the Game Controller page it clearly says PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller.
Can anyone help me with that ? I don't get it i used to play with my ps3 controller just fine D:

Set your PC's date to 2014 and try again.
Apparently it's something to do with Motionjoy certificate expiring after that year.

i just tried again, whenever i go to the driver manager page it just tells me

The request could not be satisfied.

Oh god what in the actual blazes are you doing with MotioninJoy installed? That's malware. Try to find the SCP Driver Package it's superior software and does not hook you into an ad network that can install software on your computer to leech userdata to make money off of you.

What are you talking about? I use Motioninjoy all the time and have experienced exactly none of what you said.

Motioninjoy must be used in local mode.

I use SCP driver for my PS3 controllers on my pc, use the force install command, open the software (each time you want to play a game) and it works like a charm.
