In a run, press ESC, go to options, go to the bottom of the list, and enable "Found HUD".

And if you don't have Afterbirth+, google MissingHUD2.

missing hud is a mini mod which will show stats on the left side of the screen, you´ll have to enable it before playing isaac. doesn´t lock achievements ;-)

Well, either that or the Afterbirth+ built-in option.
