How does Mr. me really works? A lot of times he just vanished at the place where he is supposed to pick up an item. Where is the right spot to place the cross? The item picture, the word or the space between. Or does he has a certain chance to bring something and sometimes he does not. Maybe someone know Mr. me better than myself ^^

You move the cross directly on the item.
Mr.Me has no chance of failure. Failure in it's function are input-based.

I place the crosshair as perfectly above the item as I can but I consistently get him hitting into the item and just playing an error sound as he vanishes.

i saw a video how he works but did not get him since then. seem like you have to do the following e.g. in devil deal
go under the item you want, place the cross above the item, he will take it if it is in his way to the marked spot, you don't have to hit it exactly with the cross. same for the shop
