I may be ♥♥♥♥ talking since I'm doing Greedier unlocks, but eh.
The RNG aspect might be fun after unlocking everything. But before that, just gonna Hush it up.
If you want to guarintee the Void chapter, you have to beat Hush. That's the only way to get it every time. BTW, the portal itself doesn't appear in the Hush room. You get a door at the top right that leads to the portal room.
Personally I hate the feeling of needing to rush through something to get an achievement but you make so with boss rush and Hush. Adding ANOTHER floor AND boss that is a "random chance" or rushing through the game again seems stupid. Boss rush is one room and fighting, Hush is basically one room and fighting, Delirium and the void is a HUGE floor with multiple possible bosses and a main boss at the end. It'd be the same as the chest but if you didn't know if after the cathedral or sheol you didn't know if you'd get entrance to the chest.
If you're taking longer than 30 minutes, you're spending way too much time admiring the textures along the way.
30 minutes, even as Maggy, the weakest character, is way more than enough time to rech Hush.
Maggy isn't the weakest character. She even starts with a speed up pill now.
Which isn't a challenge at all. Start on an Extra large floor, find golden heart before first boss and be unkillable.
I still feel like she is really REALLY lacking comapred to the others. She has weak damage, lackluster range, while her speed is ok now, her only real trade off is extra health and a healing item. Which if you are good at the game, isn't needed because you either will already have hearts on the ground, or won't be getting hit at all.
Even Laz, the character I see as next weekest, got a massive buff through starting with Anemic, and having it perma-proced on Revived Laz.
An extra heart for another devil deal, more demon judgement payout.
Also Laz is a strong character. Hold R until you start with hp up/tears up/48 hour energy/I'm drowsy. Then you get a free revive as well and a good Known pill for the rest of the run.
A bad character is blue baby.
??? is a challnage character, he isn't meant to be compared to say Isaac in terms of pure playability. I until this Anemic update for Laz, I felt he was really weak. Normal damage, low range, and not none, but NEGATIVE luck. If I played Laz, first thing I did before all else was kill myself. The stats up and increase item drop was more than worth losing an extra life.
As for Maggy, I don't like Devil deals unless they are very good(Pact, Brimstone, Mega Blast, Contract, or Guppy if it feels like I can get the full transformation that run). I generally prefer Angel items, or getting devil items through cursed rooms. I take them as the Lost though, he needs them and has no downsides to taking them
Liking angel deals over devil is not that common. Many of them are bad or you just get soul hearts, Plus theres no angel beggers.
