The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Womb too hard for me, got any tips?
I beat Mom in about 15 hours, but I still can't beat Mom's heart. I've ben there 3 times, and all 3 I couldn't get her past half HP. It's just that it's too hard getting there without getting hit, and one mistake and you lose 1 hearth in the Womb/Utero. It's not like I get hit every room. Every second room maybe, or third. Normally that's not a big deal because

1. It only deals half-a-heart of damage.
2. There are always hearts laying around.
3. The trails that enemies leave are actually visible...

As you can see none of these apply in the womb. It's not my problem I get hit for 1 whole heart, it's the fact that you can't find any health and the enemies feel plain unfair (even outside of Mom's Heart) The blood trails alot of enemies leave behind are impossible to see, and are a huge pain in the ass. Even some projectiles are not that visible. And it's funny because all these things can be fixed by just changing the color of the backround or something, and the whole "inside someone" feel could be kept by making it pink or a different shade of red.

Last time I was there, I tried breaking alot of rocks with the last bombs that I had, and still all I could get was 1 heart.

Please don't be like, "git gud" or "I'm really good at this game I beat it everyday" or any other annoying phrase because all you're being is annoying. If you come to posts from new players looking for some help just to say that ♥♥♥♥, please ♥♥♥♥ off.

Thanks.

Start a new run, Hold R until it resets to a nearby item room with a health restoring item like dark bum/the relic/satanic bible/ect.

Also samson is a really strong character if you always fail to get devil deals. Since you'll get a dmg boost for taking damage that you can heal up with red hearts. Trintiy shield from angel rooms can make the heart fight really easy too. As can hiding behind dry baby/fart baby if you get them.

Also git gud. And you will since you need to beat mom's heart like 15 times to unlock later floors.

If you have aftherbirth+ Apoll can turn a library into a self heal central if it has satanic bible and the other healing book that looks like the bible which I forget its name atm.

Just practice. That's all. Eventually you'll beat it. It depends a lot on the items you roll, specially at first.
Very likely you don't know how to make plays with all the items. There are a lot more posibilities than it seems. You'll figure it out.

The game is hard. It takes a lot of practice. Honestly, you really just have to "git gud." I only have 34 hours and I just barely beat moms heart for the 11th time. Also luck does play a huge roll in this game. There are plenty of items that can ♥♥♥♥ you over or make you overpowered.

Just keep at it. You'll get better over time. And you'll have those fun overpowered runs every now and then.

Also theres two items that make the womb do half heart damage again. The wafer, and the better item virgo that also makes pills positive effects only.

Practice would also be my advice. 15 hours is nothing.

If you are stuck and feel like you don't get better with practice I also suggest to watch some Let's Plays (e.g. Northernlion) which will probably give you a few tips and hints about what you might have missed to do or what you might do differently.

Also do consider doing good challenges that unlock good items only. Like the jera and perthro runes, death's touch, golden bombs. They can make runs all the easier.

Use Azazel, he can fly and his attack is powerful. But at one point you will have to win a run with each character to unlock different items.

Well, the game is meant to be extremely dificult. Everybody who's bragging about it has gone (or is still going through) the same learning curve as you are. Getting hit once every three rooms is way too much. You gotta get those deals! Especially the early ones, as they are going to keep you strong enough to survive.

The Womb is basically nothing but a test of how strong you managed to get on the early game. It punishes you a lot harder for taking damage, so you need to clear the rooms fast to keep the enemies away from you and make the dodges as easy as possible. You are probably making it harder for yourself by not picking up the right items, not doing enough exploration or failing to qualify for the Devil Deals by taking red heart damage and holding on to a Yum Heart or something. Knowing what to do, what to pick up and most importantly how to dodge come over time. All I can tell you is not to take red heart damage, explore, and dodge like your own life depends on it. I have 600+ hours in the game and can beat it pretty consistently by now, but it took me a long time to get there. 15 hours is simply not enough to get all the information and enemy patterns processed. I still found new rooms after 595 hours of Afterbirth.

I'm also telling you to 'git gud', but it truly is the best advice. Practice and you will succeed. Also, watch some good youtubers play the game when you're tired of playing. Northernlion is pretty entertaining, and pretty good.

Practice. Again and again and again. I easily take 20 ou 25 run before i can reach Mom Heart for the first time after i kill Mom. Samson or Magdalene are nice, the first one deal more dmg when you lose life, the second strat with yum heart (heal one red heart on use, charge every 4 room)

The "Master key" to win this game is dodging skill. It doesn't matter if you got powerful items, you will die if you can't block or dodge damage. Try playing with a easier caracter first, such as Azazel, and take notice of how every monster act.
If you become good enough, you could even try a no-damage or Lost achievement.
