How to unlock ZIP achievement?

So Ive completed the run in under 20 minutes (beat ???) but nothing happened is there any special conditions for this achievement? Its annoying af to speedrunning on hard mode.

You gotta beat Lamb, not ??? (so you can use the sacrifice room to teleport to dark room and kill him faster)

Do it on normal. Use the lost for free devil deals to quickly become overpowered. If you don't get excellent devil room items and high damage in the first 3-4 stages reset.

Sacrifice rooms aren't as great as you would think for this. Without some POWERFUL attacks you could get there in 5 minutes via them, but you would still be FAR too weak to survive or make it to the lamb on time.

You can wait untill you get a run that breaks the game on floor 1, 2 if they have a sacrifice room and then teleport.

I remember I got curse of the extra large on first floor, first item room was dr fetus, shop had a reroll machine and I was able to get really strong, as well as high hp via buying soul hearts and shop items. Then teleport to the dark room and emperior card straight to the lamb fight.

If you get a keeper first floor with swallowed penny he might even be a consideration if the shop has shop refresh. If your fast enough to get chaos and good choice items.

I'm going to have to disagree with Sashie: I tried that technique for literally 3 days and gave up. It's just WAY too much RNG and hoping for WAY too much too soon. It is possible, but VERY unlikely to work out and you're liable to waste a LOT of time on it.

The lost, however can VERY easily get overpowered from devil deals early on. Also keep in mind, if you get hit, just exit the game and continue to refresh the holy mantle. While this will accumulate time, so you don't want to do it much, you basically have unlimited life as the Lost like this.

Keep in mind: you can reset over and over until you get a curse of the XL for the first floor too. You then get 2 treasure room items, 2 boss items and a devil deal. If this doesn't roll good reset until you get an XL 1st floor again and retry. It took me 3 tries like this to get zip. Vs. the hours and hours and literal DAYS I waste trying to get the sacrifice rooms to go right so early in the game with what I need to survive the dark room.

Also, there is ANOTHER exploit you can use: once you start a stage NEVER pause in it... go thru it as fast as you can looking for the shop, treasure room and boss. IF you don't get thru fast enough with enough items for your taste, bring up task manager in windows (Ctrl-Alt-Delete.... DO NOT PAUSE before this) end task isaac and then just go back to the game and continue. You'll start back at the start of the floor but guess what? It will be EXACTLY the same as when you went thru it before.

You can literally use this the whole game to guarantee you never get lost in a stage, get right to the boss, yet get all the items you need to become uber strong. Along with emperor cards to get you straight to the boss (since the RNG will be the same when you do this). I tend to save those BTW for the womb areas and beyond. Especially if I can carry two.

Is this a cheesy trick? Yes. but it works. :)

If you have acess to someone with isaac. You could start a run, see the seed and pause it. then play the seed on thier computer and learn the map/screen shot each floors map. Or have them complete the run and screen shot each floors map. So you go as fast as possible.

But I never tried it myself.

Thanks guys but its not an issue anymore:) I just thought you could complete The Chest in 20 minutes and get this achievement but seems like its working only with Dark Room path, then I thought maybe its not 20 minutes its under 10 minutes so Ive completed Dark Room in 09:56:)

It shouldn't be possible to get dedication yet. As it was apparently broken.

Yeah its impossible to have gotten the achievement when steam says they have, i checked that after my post that was what the edit was about. They seem legit so i guess they just didnt want to wait until the bugged achievements got fixed.

In terms of greedbutt it would say ive missed a few too but it dosnt take into account alt f4's or genuine crashes like i had today. Im keeping my fingers crossed thought that dedication counts these scores, you get a place on ingame leaderboards anyway

Play Azazel, bee-line for the boss on every floor, go to the Lamb, profit. You can beat the run in about 17 minutes.

I'm going to say that I really do like your trick, but I, like the others did azazel, and it was even easier. I did mine in thirteen minutes.
