Red Hearts Running Away?

I'm playing as Apollyon and trying to refill my heart container with a full red heart on the groud but it's like I have a force field around me! The heart moves away before I can get it unless it goes into a corner. I have no items besides the void. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yeah, it's a pointless mechanic they put in the game. Adds absolutely nothing and should be taken out, along with the sticky/stuck bombs.
