Ultra Hard challenge

Been trying it all day.

Lost once due to bad D100 reroll on the chest that causes self damage on shot. Curse of the maze and lost prevent me from finding the dropped battery room until I die.

Just now have brime stone, 2/3 guppy, guppy's paw, virgo for good pills, left hand trinket, baggie of pills, health up is one pill in rotation, find ??? pill on necro and teleports me to I am error room before I could pick up polaroid/negative. I get to womb and find a sacrifice room. Curse of the blind making me take curse of the tower plus mega bombs means even with guppy's paw I can't get enough hp to warp to dark room. So then get full guppy, I kill mom's heart and then kill hush, then isaac. And yep failed. If only mega satan was also on the void floor I'd have won >.>

Have you had any bad luck with it?

I had a run going great, with a Holy Mantle item giving me a huge edge. Got a Depths item room with the curse of unidentified items that gave me Tiny Planet... RIP that run. It was going really well, but the inability to do serious knockback or actually target enemies means I got cornered in rooms full of champion enemies that would chase me and just hit me over and over as I tried to get away, it wouldn't be as bad if I had extra speed but I just didn't.

I completed a challenge in first attempt as I got so lucky. I got Pyromaniac right away from first treasure room, and Dr.Fetus from caveXL treasure room. But I grabbed Tiny Planet so it was almost screwed.. but saved by Mom's Knife. lol
I just hold knife direction and bombs fly off to my face to regain my health.

I finished the challenge with half of heart left. Damage was only 2, I rely solely on smart fly + BFF to kill everything. Starting item was prayer card, it helped me a lot.

I found spoon bender, tech x and mom's knife really early on... plus damage up items.

I won despite having only 3hp. Took me all day of resetting runs though.

I managed to beat it on a semi-decent run that had pyromaniac, which bassically turned bombs into red heart pickups for me.

prior to that run.. I had a 4 hour placenta regen run that ended on mega satan phase 2. now that loss was painful.

I can imagine. My first keeper mega satan was gnawed leaf and bomb fly as the only source of tearless damage. I haven't retried ultra hard yet, I been doing greedier mode and stuff.

This challenge is just bad game design. It FORCES you to reroll and scum your way until you barely make it. It isn't fun. I'm so disappointed with this DLC. Ultra Hard challenge is just taking what people didn't like and multiplying it. I sincerely hope they nerf the difficulty.
