If you use it on an active item (For example, like in my case, The Poop) The Item Pedestal and the Active Item (The Poop) will dissappear. You will not get any stat upgrades BUT the effect of the Active Item that dissappeared will go over to your Void. This now means that you can spawn a Poop every 6 rooms (Which is garbage, but I guess you can stack active items on it, for example book of revelations + book of sin = every 6 rooms 1blue and 1black heart)
If you use it on a passive item (For example, Common Cold) The Item pedestal will dissappear and you will get "random" stat bonuses. The reason why I put "" around random is because so far, everytime when I destroyed a passive item, I ALWAYS got +1.00 dmg and some other stat. So maybe you get Dmg+Random stat if you destroy passives.
Easy to forget what you sucked in 40 min ago.
It really isn't worth it to eat passives unless the passive would jack up your build. Better to just get the boost off it.
