But there's a ton of mods already out for Rebirth and Afterbirth. Try googling "the modding of isaac". Lots of good mods on that site.
Edit: Well, looks like you can use some of the mods on the Workshop for Rebirth and AB, it just depends on what type of mod it is. Anything involving LUA will not work, but stuff that is packaged like older mods on the modding of isaac site will work.
After downloading a workshop mod, you find the workshop folder on your computer, which will be (or wherever you installed it):
C:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\250900
Copy the contents (you don't need to copy the file named metadata), and paste into your resources folder, like you would do for manually installing any other mod.
