The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Delirious is an extremly weak item.
Lets discuss this shall we? Delirious is a very rare item that can be found in the Angel Rooms. This item drops a random boss on the room that is used. This boss will fight for you. This item has a charge of 12 rooms.

Now the problem with the charmed enemies in Binding of Isaac is that they are buggy as ♥♥♥♥. These bosses can be one shootted when they get in contact with an enemy. Sometimes they won't but most of the time Delirium dies before having a major impact on the room.

It doesn't even deal any good damage for a 12 room charge active item. Sure it can deal some damage in Hush or Delirium fight but remember, contact damage can kill him instantly and that the bosses you spawn don't do all that much damage... if its something that can rapidly shoot projectiles or throw bombs then maybe its good. But still, thats if you are lucky. 12 Room recharge for a stupid item like this is inexcusable. And this was probably supposed to be the epic item of this expansion just like how Godhead was of Rebirth. Or Mega Blast for Afterbirth.

In my opinion if they want to do this an atleast viable item (Keep in mind, this is a rare item and can be found in the Angel Rooms) it should atleast have 4 room charge. But I prefer 3.

If you want Delirius an epic item like the Godhead or Megablast, make Delirius a follower that will change bosses every room you enter. That way Delirius would be an awesome and cool item to pick up, you can also make it a Special Item if it becomes too powerful this way.

I am not trying to make developers do this but atleast modders should do this. Because right now Delirius is like a toy F-16 compared to Mega Blast.

I like the idea of delirius being a follower.
And please move it to any other item pool.

Your ideas sound fun, but honestly I'd rather have a patch fix charmed enemies. Make them work better, because honestly the problem keeps all the items that do similar things bad too. I want to like charm tears, Poke Go, Friend Ball, Delirious, etc but... they just aren't fun. It feels like it's all completely useless.

Like seriously, go turn on the special seed that makes all enemies permanently charmed. Half the time they can't even damage each other and bug out. I didn't even beat one room because two flies were fighting while hovering over some rocks, eternally unable to harm each other while being out of my reach...

Even if you fix the bugs with charmed enemies, Delirious' shots deal very low damage in late game (To Hush, Satan, Isaac)
