Do I have to beat Mom's Heart/It Lives on Hard Mode with Apollyon to unlock Smelter?

Just curious, because I don't have it unlocked despite having beaten Mom's Heart with him (I have the completion mark). On the Wiki is doesn't specify hard mode.

Well, for all other characters, Heart's unlocks are granted on hard only. Add a bit of logic, and... :P

By the way, why are you playing on normal? You'll have to do everything on hard if you want to complete the game anyway, so save yourself some time and play only on hard (just remember to do both Greed and Greedier modes). :P

And of course, a reminder of things which prevent unlocks:
Seeds (except a few special ones)
Challenges (except for their reward obviously).
Daily Runs.
Reruns and Victory Laps (not considering any bug).
Any active mod from the mod menu until the Heart is killed once.

Some prevent unlocks, some others don't (generally those which are purely cosmetic or make the game harder).

You can refer to the list on the wiki. Those with a crossed out trophy symbol prevent unlocks, the others don't.

Yeah, I assumed I had to do it on hard mode, but the fact that the wiki specified hard mode for every character but exempt Apollyon threw me off.

And I'm playing Normal because I'm trash, lol.

Hard mode doesn't realy feel different from normal mode imo
