Finding the Missing Poster

I need to unlock The Lost, I have literally unlocked all the achievements from the base game apart from The Lost ones.
After buying Afterbirth I was sure I could find the missing poster to unlock him that way, but after a week of trying over and over and doing runs with Cain I have yet to find it.

I go in the shops. I use the fortune telling machine. I visit the secret rooms. Nothing for a whole week despite finding almost every other trinket in the game.

Am I doing something wrong? I'm sure I found the Missing Poster a bunch of times while playing the base game, but I just can't find it in Afterbirth.

Try to find this[bindingofisaacrebirth.gamepedia.com] item. It appears in shops fairly frequently and spawns a random trinket when you use it.
Just make sure to pick up and put down trinkets you don't want, otherwise they can be spawned again.

You're most likely having a harder time finding the missing poster because Afterbirth adds a bunch more trinkets on the list to find. That, and RNG of course.

I have also yet to find mom's box unfortunately, but thanks for the help.
Do you know if the old method still works? I'd try going through the seeds listen on the wiki but it seems like they're all for Rebirth exclusively and don't work in Afterbirth.

From what I read you were able to use seeds for the first 3 deaths and then just do the last without one.
Not that it matters.

Guess I'll keep trying, although I'm really doubting I'll get anywhere.
