The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Uninstalling Mods Permanently Crashes Isaac
So I decided that after a while of playing with mods, i wanted to try and get the last of the unlocked (really just Greedier with everyone), so I went to the mods section and disabled all mods.

Isaac crashes when I confirm.

So I try uninstalling them one at a time. Isaac now crashes after the intro.

So I unsubscribe to all my mods manually. Isaac still crashes after the intro.

So I uninstall Isaac through Steam and reinstall. Isaac still crashes after the intro.

So I delete all Isaac content from my computer; manually delete every Isaac related folder, and do a complete reinstall. Isaac still crashes after the intro.

Can anyone help me out? I'd like to play some Isaac, but I can't even get past the intro.

Two options:

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+

Open options.ini
EnableMods=0

OR

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOURUSERID\250900\remote

Start dragging save files from My Games into this folder, deleting the numbers at the start (so they overwrite abp_persistent) The numbers themselves are dates, so keep going back in time until something works.

Third option: Yell loudly for an adult.

Not to be That Guy but do you know what the corresponding folders would be for Mac? I'd try trial and error but I don't want to f*** my game up any worse than it already is.

~/Library/Application Support/Binding of Isaac Rebirth/

~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/[account id]/250900/remote

Pasted straight from the stickied thread, I don't have a clue how Mac functions, so....you're on your own if the above doesn't make sense. Might be Afterbirth instead of 'Rebirth' or Afterbirth might be a folder inside that one....Idk.

Yeah, yelling for an adult fixes most of my problems too.

Hey, I have the exact same issue.

Here's the content of /Library/Application Support/Binding of Isaac Afterbirth/options.ini:

[Options]
Language=
MusicVolume=0.1000
SFXVolume=0.1000
MapOpacity=0.3000
Fullscreen=1
Filter=0
Exposure=1.0000
Gamma=1.5000
ControllerHotplug=1
PopUps=1
CameraStyle=1
ShowRecentItems=0
HudOffset=0.0000
TryImportSave=0
MaxScale=99
MaxRenderScale=2
VSync=1
PauseOnFocusLost=1
SteamCloud=1
MouseControl=0
WindowWidth=1280
WindowHeight=800
WindowPosX=0
WindowPosY=0

(I've tried to put EnableMods=0 in the file but it does not work.)
Can you help me ? :D

Thanks,

Probably not, but by the sounds of it you're in the options.ini for Afterbirth, not Afterbirth+

Thus it's no real surprise that it wasn't there and adding it did nothing.
