The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Void helped me beat DELIRIUM, on HARD MODE, as THE LOST!!!
At first I figured I would take the Void to replace the D4 as it is really crap with the Lost if you have Holy Mantle. A few devil deals later I find the Mega Satan Head. That would get rid of the weaker bosses but Hush and Delirium? Nah. Then, EVERY library book was mine, including Homing Shots, Damage Up, Temporary Shields and everything. This might actually work! Rubber Cement...I beat Delirium in 15 seconds :D

I hear you. I actually beat him with The Lost with Shield Tears and a lot of damage.

It's not related to the subject but I just want to point out since for me Lilith is the hardest character, I beat Hush with her without using Box of Friends because there were no battery items in shops and the active item wasn't filled.

It's good to know, though, that we beat one of the strongest bosses with one of the hardest characters of the game.

I might want to consider this too, as I am having so much difficulty getting a straight run with Lost. I often get a ton of passives midgame and start rouletting with the D4. Man, I never get any ideal combinations. The extremely erratic movement of mobs on hard mode doesn't help either.

It seems that hard mode isn't really meant to cause trouble for other characters but Lost. Too many things slap you dead before you even get enough time to react.

wait. why are you using the D4? Holy Mantle is what stops things that slap you dead

Yeah the D4 is crap with the Lost. I never use it. Also, a good strategy is to make sure you get a n awesome item right off the bat, if you don't, restart.

Well, I always start with an adjacent gold room. And yeah, I know Holy Mantle is a lot of help. But it's not like you are guaranteed to get it.

Maybe I should stop trying and go for the Greed mode instead. If I am not mistaken, depositing 900 gold in that final donation machine makes Holy Mantle a default item for the Lost.

That is true and doing so makes the Lost WAY EASIER. Though be aware though you can't constantly play as OP characters in Greed Mode like Lilith as eventually the machine at the end will only accept 1 coin per run, so use multiple characters that you're good with.

No problemo, one day we'll all be platinum gods :D

Hopefully. But one more question: Do I have to play on Greedier mode to fill up the donation machine or is the regular Greed mode ok too?

DEFINETELY regular greed mode. You get more coins at the final boss doesn't kick your ass as hard XD

but the machine wont jam in Greedier mode, so both have their benefits

Nice to know. Time to set priorities then. No more getting my ass kicked before getting that default Holy Mantle :steamsad:
