D100 Erases Items?
If you use the D100 too many times, does it erase items?

Cause I quite literally just watched as all of Eden's items disappeared in handfuls with each use while in the Womb. It even removed The Polaroid from my inventory. I now have a blank slate, minus the D100...

This is a disturbing bug, if it's not an intended feature. Even scarier if it IS a feature.

I'm pretty sure it's a bug. It also happens with D4, Clicker, and on Victory Laps. I think all four of these effects trigger some character-reset function, which for some reason forgets about some items. It's really annoying. I lost Sinus Infection because of Clicker once.

Clicker makes you lose items on purpose.

Okay. I didn't know Clicker was supposed to do that. But D4 and Victory Laps erase items as well.

Victory Lap eventually does, after so many times through it. It's supposed to make it harder for you to continue onward. But I'm certain D4 and D100 should NOT be causing this problem...

Actually, the victory lap thing sort of makes sense. If you start a run with an item that doesn't exist in the seed, that could erase it. But yeah. D4 and D100 shouldn't have this issue.

When you pick up items, they're removed from all pools in the game. Therefore any item in your possesion, that you get by rerolling items with the D100/D4 will be removed from it's pools. When the item pools of the game are depleated, Breakfast will spawn anytime an item from that pool should spawn, since breakfast is the fail save item. If you use D100/D4 too often you'll end up with only breakfast, that's not a bug, but punishment for being greedy ;^)

If it ran through every item in the game, I would have a full list completed. I do not have a full list completed yet, therefore, it must be a bug, no?

Nah this game isn't exactly rng based, there are tiers or something like that, every item has a rareness to it. Even if you breakfasted yourself keep rerolling and new items will appear. If you already passed chaos then devil and angel items can't be gotten from rerolling.

Wait, so if you don't get Chaos, you cannot get those even if you have an Angel/Devil item to re-roll? Or if you get that, you CANNOT get those items via rolls?

The rule of thumb with D4/D100 is if you see a breakfast in the item tracker, stop. Unless you have a build so bad you can't win.

The rule of thumb with the clicker is throw the POS away instantly, unless you recently got an item you want gone. Even then each click you risk losing all your hp for good. This is easily one of the worst items in isaac. It can instantly end a run.

In isaac you are never meant to get every item in a run.

Breakfast is the key item that ruins D4/D100 uses? Good to know...

Wasn't really trying to get every item, just hoping to roll Eden's Soul since it's so annoying to find on it's own. That and Tonsil. >.>

Breakfast isn't a key item that breaks anything, that's not it. There are no bug with D4 and D100 actually, just game mechanics.

When the game has to generate an item but there are none left in the pool, it generates a breakfast instead. You can consider it as the default item for every pool.
Since the item tracker thing can show every item only once, even if you have 30 breakfasts, it will appear as only one. So if you deplete all available pools by rerolling your items, they'll all turn into breakfasts at some point.
That's why you should stop rerolling yourself if you see one, because it means your items will probabaly only vanish afterwards (because they'll turn into more breakfasts). It doesn't ruin anything, it just shows you that you should stop now. :P

Most definitely a bug. D100 is to reroll every "rerollable" dice items in the game. Unless you had The Void with you, then thinking s*it would've hit the fan, but that's also not possible because you can't void the passive items that you've already taken.

It's not a bug, it's game mechanic. If you don't know something or don't understand that's a bug then? Nazemec explained everything about why this is happening and how it works. Read his comments.
