Had double Item treasure room, got to keep both

I had a host hat and the lil chest familiar. I picked up host hat and then saw that the chest item didn't disappear. I picked up the chest then and I actually got both?

Yeah, it's quite rare from what I have seen, but there is a chance for two items to spawn in there and get both of them out of it.

very rare and very lovely, have had it maaaaybe 4 or 5 times.

There's also a slightly lower chance to get a treasure room with poop, pickups, and a trinket instead of an item.

That's an XL room, what I meant exactly was when inside a single item room. In a rare scenario you get to take two pedestal items.

I think you're referring to an XL floor: two separate item rooms, two boss rooms in a row. That's not what this thread is about.
