There was a sack in the room which I'm not complaining about.

but why is there a reroll machine with nothing to reroll? What were they thinking?

Actually, there is even a point in pointlessness, no matter how utterly pointless like a certain super secret room which does not troll you in any further way (unless ofc, you feel the need to walk across the spikes, get hit and try to find an ultra secret room which does not exist, or does it?

I think you could get an item into the room with temperance or judgement and reroll that.

This room only works with certain specific items, like Pandora's Box or Eden's Soul, that can create pedistal items. If you can spawn a pedistal item in that room, then you can re-roll that item. That however, is the only use that I know of for that room.

Yeah. That could also work, but the odds of getting an item from a machine are pretty slim.

The games always been about abusing mechanics. Ab+ jus added some new ones, while also removing some old ones like glowing hour glass and bomb black markets.

it's usually just a kick in the balls though, i mean sure, maybe you spawn a pedestal and it's not worthless and not basically a nerf to secret room contents, hell maybe you even have crooked penny and get two items twice or something like that.

but that's the 0.0001% percent of the time "use", which imo isn't really a use at all.

Got Greed gullet through Judge card and reroll machine + D6 (on Isaac). Now i have all items collected, only accursed dedication left.

its a secret room with a reroll machine, spawning any pedestal item in this room and rolling it will give you one of the most elusive item pools in the game. could be pretty amazing especially if you can diplo

There are a lot of iffy scenarios where this might work, and maybe you'll get lucky some games, but there are only 2 sure-things:
Eden's Soul, and Pandora's Box (only on levels 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9)

That is... if you happen to find that room, before you use one of these 2 items (out of 400+), on that same level. Because, let's face it, if you find one of those items, you use it when you can. You don't want to just hold on to them and hope that you find this specific version of a secret room, which might not even exist in the run you're playing.

It could be a really, really amazing bonus, but... the odds are so low it's not a thing you should ever try to do. Just hope that you get lucky and it works out for you some time.

It's a ♥♥♥♥ room. Yes, I see all these people talking about "Oh but what if you get an item to spawn here so you can reroll it?" Please, 95-99% of the time we all know that isn't happening.

Also the secret room item pool isn't some AMAZING game breaking pool.Yes it has a # of good items in it, but nothing like Brimstone, Maw of the Void or Dark Bum level stuff.
