What is the best character for greed mode?

I want to get keeper, so, other than lilith, what is the best character to beat greed mode with over and over?

isaac due to the D6 and starting bomb.

Cain isn't half bad either because the starting key, the paperclip (If you have it unlocked) is 1 less trinket in rotation which increases the odds you get a good trinket and you can open any golden chest free. Plus cain luck.

Maggy with her speed up pill can be "okay" if you hold R until the shop starts with a demon begger and she gets a good payout.

Eden depending on what he starts with can be "disgustingly good".

Lazurus can be okay because you can hold R until his start pill is a great one like tears up/i'm drowsey/ ect. And if plan C comes up and you haven't killed yourself yet, well.

It's really down to which character you're most comfortable with playing as.
But as a I learned somewhat recently, if you keep using the same characters, the greed machine will begin to jam a lot more frequently.

Isaac is the strongest character in general, with the D6 unlocked. Get crap? Re-roll.

Also, Isaac has no flaws. Azazel has no range. Eve has crap for damage. Samson's only useful when he's hurting. Etc. With the D6, Isaac is all bonus and no penalty.

Surprised nobody mentions Judas, who literally needs no help destroying multiple greed waves.

Keeper basically has unlimited health, gets a ton of money and can easily get insane amounts of shot speed ups and damage here.

Lilith is just.... death. For EVERYTHING. Except maybe the Greed fight. There can be some challenge there depending.

Isaac lets you reroll stuff and can become god tier pretty fast.

Samson is just.... death. Much like Lilith. Get hit 3-4 times in a room, and then just don't leave until you clear it. Things MELT!

Lost can pretty much just hit the switch anytime and take a break. Giving you chances to leave, refresh mantle and try again.

Azazel actually isn't a great as in normal mode here: the greed and greedier fights are pretty nasty with him.

The rest are just meh in greed mode.

Also SASHIE: the same trinket can be seen more than once in a run. So starting with paper clip doesn't really help at all. Especially since gold chests are pretty rare here. :)

i like eden, same reasons as normal, sometimes you'll just get a good start and snowball from there as well as lazarus, since devil deals are a 100% of the time thing in greed mode if you luck out and get the opportunity to suicide for a devil deal it's that much more beneficial.

I am very glad for the help i have gotten, but some of you have forgotten that i want to know what character is best for greed mode BECAUSE i dont have keeper, so therefore i don't have a lot of coins in the greed machine. (25 coins, as of this message) so i don't have keeper, lost doesnt have holy mantle, and cain doesn't have paper clip. anyway, thx for all the help!

cain is still best because he starts with a key, so you can restart and have two items to pick instead of one. also he has better luck so I still stand by what I said

The Keeper, because in the UG fight, you're almost immortal if you walk into the fight a bit of money left, because all of UG's attacks make you drop coins. UG's 2nd phase in Greedier even generates new coins from explosions. The Wooden Nickel should make up for any damage you may take on normal floors and likly even pays out extra.

Lillith would be more of the opposite - you're unstoppable during regular floors, but the UG fight might be tricky.

Judas would be good choice, if you don't want or can't with any of the above, due to his Book of Belial potentially lasting for an entire floor.
