The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth

Afterbirth+ Is it free? Is it part of Regular afterbirth?
So I was gifted this game. my friend tried buying me the whole package but couldnt send me it for some reason.. Whats up with that? Reason I'm asking is because I'm stuck with Rebirth, and when I check the store page for Afterbirth and Afterbirth plus, steam only gives me a price for Afterbirth (11 bucks) and the afterbirth and afterbirth+ package (20 bucks).
I want to know, is afterbirth+ free to regular afterbirth owners? Or can my friend somehow buy each dlc separately and send me them?

Yes. Afterbirth+ is $10. So all in all it's $15 for the base game, $10 for Afterbirth and then another $10 for afterbirth+

And yes, you do need afterbirth to play Afterbirth+, so all in all the game now costs a whopping $35 for newcomers to the series. A pity, as I was actually going to include this game in my web-series but the price point is just too damn high xD

Expansion is more worth of a name than dlc.

You are not paying for a couple items a la ubisoft.

Other than that... Both are paid

Aaaactualy ubisoft doesn't charge for DLC anymore, so that's a bad comparison. That's actually one of the best changes ubisoft has made to their online-based games. DLC being able to be purchased with ingame currency like steel in for honor or renown in R6 Siege, but I digress.

Afterbirth+ only adds a handfull of items and some balance changes.....I mean, if you REALLY like isaac, of course. Get it.

If you're NEW to the series, start off with just the base game before you go into DLCs. The two afterbirth DLCs are VERY good, don't get me wrong. But the Binding of isaac is a very...difficult game and not a lot of people are going to enjoy that aspect. (I love the difficulty and also "breaking" the game using insane item matchups like having controlable one-hit-kill orbiting lasers for tears, or being able to fire hundreds of bombs a second)

Only a handful of items....it adds near the same content than afterbirth, mod support and we have yet to see how it ends after the booster pack year

Yeah, but let's be honest, these items arn't all that unique. Afterbirth 1 added 95 items, + added 69, and some of them are just basic stat upgrades or do things that other items already do.

Contagion just being a more difficult to use verison of toxic shock and moldy bread is yet ANOTHER +1HP item with no other side effects. Like don't get me wrong, it's content and I'm cool with that, it's just not anything you have to rush out and get considering that you get such a large bevy of content with rebirth from the start. Again, what I was saying was geared more towards people newer to the series.

People who've owned afterbirth for a while will more or less obviously go and get +.

You cannot make all items run winners. Also with more items you need more stats up not to make the improvements a bit more common between the sea of items.

And people complains about ab+ specially because they expected an antibirth lookalike with all the broken ♥♥♥♥ (Antibirth is way easier with so much broken stuff)

They got spoiled and then they went into a babyrage

^

I mean if edmund really wanted to it could've just been the mod tools for the same price, but he decided to add some content with it aswell.

People should be greatful for what they get. Hell, if they really wanted to they could've canceled the DLC right then and there.
