What happens if... (Dead cat)

what happens if I take dead cat with no red hearts the binding of isaac rebirth (antibirth)? I have 6 soul hearts and 3 black hearts as Blue baby trying to unlock the D6 and don't want to ruin the run.

You get one red heart and keep your grey/black hearts
EDIT: As you are blue baby you will get one more soul heart i think

Dead Cat always sets your Red Hearts to 1.

That means if you have 0, it goes to 1.

Now, because you're Blue Baby, you have 0 Red Hearts, and just like all other health up items, you get +1 Soul Heart.

So basically, as Blue Baby, you get an extra Soul Heart plus 9 lives.

That's wrong. You don't get an extra 1; you are REDUCED TO ONE as blue baby. So unless you want to lose 8 hearts, skip it.

Well, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥. In Afterbirth they fixed this bug - I knew I shouldn't have. Because I had 0 red hearts to take it, took all my hearts and left me with 1 soul heart

It was never changed and is not a bug.

dead cat is great in devil deals, can help you take more items or recover hp you loose from the deals.

but if you have lots of red hearts, it can reallt screw you, i only take it if i can get a gup xform in that case.

It's okay haha. I assumed it was the same patch they introduced with devil deals in afterbirth where if you have less red hearts than the tred heart cost it takes all red hearts but, leaves you all soul / black hearts where in rebirth it takes all but, 1. I hope i explained that well lol. It's okay thankfully I had book of revelations and got 3 soul hearts again

He was using blue baby and didn't know that it reduces him to 1 soul heart. I forgot and got a NASTY reminder a few weeks back myself. :)
