Brimstone or mom's knife?

Trying to kill delirium as the lost and i got these two choices in my deal with the devil.

Brimstone is a safer bet in my opinion, don't have a range limit.

Brimstone, you don't want to get close up in personal with Delirium. Don't take any unnecessary risks

Boss armor renders any advantage you have so far null, such a dumb thing. It doesn't make the fights challenging, just tedious, he was so close to dying.

damage won't get you that far against hush, hope you come across some orbitals/items that have the infamy effect, they can really save you.

None can defeat the pretty fly.

While brimstone is far superior, moms knife is pretty good in combination with anything that gives you a shield. It also synergizes well with the Ludovico Technique, items that give you poison tears and Tech X.

Died to delirium, he had like 5% hp, mom's foot teleported on top of me without any kind of sound or animation, sigh, i was even moving around and my speed was 1.60. That fight needs a few fixes.

You could break a run with isaac, mama mega wil guarantee you're entrance to the void. All you'd need to bring along would be the poster. With enough damage it should be possible to one shot delirium.

Find the usual slew of useful items for him but keep an eye out for an Algiz rune. When he is down to low enough health that you are certain you can kill him before it wears off, use the rune.

If at any point before this you get hit and lose your mantle, exit the game, then continue. This will restart the fight but refresh your mantle. And can be done as many times as you want thus giving you infinite retries. :)
