HELP! MY ESCAPE KEY WON'T WORK!!
Ok, so i found out that my escape key isn't working anymore. i've already gone through google and youtube looking for how to fix it, but nothing seems to work. i dont use photoshop, i've tried shift + escape, and i dont have any spare keyboards lying around to check if the problem is the computer or the keyboard. honestly, i've just about given up. it feels like i have tried everything. any help i get will be greatly appreciated.:reonion:

Then it has nothing to do with the game. Your keyboard is broken.

The problem seems related to your hardware, which means no program can solve it.
I see three options:
1) You can try to find someone able to dismantle your computer and check where the problem is exactly and if it is possible to fix it (which would be a pain to do since it's a laptop).
2) Get a usb keyboard and use that one instead (be careful with cheap ones, they are usually terrible for gaming, see information about ghosting keys[www.microsoft.com]).
3) Get a new laptop.

Considering it's a laptop, I'd say number 2. Even if you can find a store technically able to do 1, they usually redirect you to 2 or 3 (more common). Laptops are a pain when they have hardware problems, so option 1 can cost quite a lot if it happens (I mean, compared to the other two options).
(At least that's what I experienced here in France.)

Google around for how to remap your keys. Remap caps-lock to esc. (Unless you're one of the rare breed of people who have any use for caps-lock, I suppose.)

My working solution : esc key stoped working for no reason. I went on youtube and tried to escape from full screen video and it was fine. So the esc key stoped working for all may steam games only. To get to the point, the NVIDIA Gaming experience program was the problem. I closed the program and the esc key was working again. nvidia game experien program is relatively new to my coomputer, it didn't sabbotage my esc key before. I suspect that it hijacked my esc key when I tried to launch recording. Anyway I hope it helps.
