Help! Very confused

Which item hurts you occasionally when you fire tears? I had this really good run with Soy Milk, Death's Touch, Evil Eye and Technology Zero but it ended due to me taking damage every so often when I was firing tears. The death screen said that I killed myself (it had a picture of me). Could it be a bug or am I missing something here entirely? Very upsetting to lose a fun run to something so stupid.

most likely it was fire mind or a random tear effect giving you fire mind like tears. though usually that will show fire or a bomb as cause of death.

Nope I am 100% sure I did not have any explosive-like tear effects or anything like that.

Technology Zero is a bit weird with splitting shots, and lasers from there can hurt Isaac.
My guess is that shots from Evil Eye are being connected to your shots, and the laser from that is hurting you. Combined with soy milk, that's a lot of lasers that can potentially hit you.
Might be worth testing. The Wiki doesn't say anything about this synergy.

Tech 0 has bugs, some rare cases the lasers from it can hit you.

the same happened to me, I got rubber cement in my first Item room and after a few rooms some of my tears started to hit me and deal damage.I had nothing else!
