They should remove operators
I'm getting tired of this operator/specialist/hero system in games. Not every game needs to be like COD 2019-2024, this system in games ruins the immersion and it's just an excuse to put in more microtransactions.
I don't want to see a clone wars killing clones on an opposite team like it's modern COD, COD Warzone, Halo Infinite, Battlefield 2042 or whatever corporate game, I want generic nameless soldiers on different teams fighting each other so we can easily see who's an enemy and who's an friendly.
Remember when the Battlefield 1, 3, 4, and the older Call of Duty games had U.S. soldiers on the U.S. team and Russian soldiers on the Russian team? Good times.

after years of development what they needed to remove the hero aspect was your comment on steam

It's their design choice, many like it, many dont.
I dont mind hero shooter but if this game has options to choose full closed outfits for all characters, it may be better for all. And more, i dont like to play female character ( luna kim is pretty, i just prefer playing male in fps) but i like to play Recon, i hope they will make a male Recon character.

It wasn't really their choice. They're reusing assets from battlefield 2042 and call of duty. Its Since they were one of the contract studios that worked on both games. Literally posted on their website as the first thing you see.
Someone already made a video show casing how every gun reload is directly copy pasted from COD.
From the gameplay people already have shown, The Running animations, Characters, menu screen, HUD ingame, respawn menu, kill cam, vehicles are all taken directly from BF2042.
So I can pretty much promise with 99.9% certainty that they'll be selling character outfit recolors, then selling character outfits shortly after... same as bf2042.
Its really hard for companies to "Stop" doing Hero systems because reusing skins across multiple games is easy money. They have a pre-built asset list they pull from and essentially mix and match. Which only works if they have a prebuilt character system like a barbie doll.

All animations, gfx, audio etc already got reworked several times and replaced a good time ago..the game is in pre-alpha, everything is subject to change and non final beside that there is already one Operator Skin in the game, its for Veyron and looks damn dark gritty and good 😈.

I never understood the problem of the "operator/specialist/hero system".

I played this game in Chinese beta and as you said you can see enemies or teammates using the same agent everywhere and it makes the game less immersive

It creates a Meta. There will always be 1 hero that's clearly better than the rest, they'll have a gadget that's to strong, or a ability that changes the battle so much, you'll lose without it.
Every hero game, I mean EVERY hero game has this issue. Even games like League of legends, dota 2, STRUGGLE with balancing heros. There will always be a Meta with heros.

By having a class system works because it's more like a rock paper scissor game at worst. Even if you make a OP class, there's another class that defeats it.

What happens in Hero games is that they tend to add classes to the Heros, so that you get that RPS feel again, but they'll have 4ish heros per a category, and there is clearly a meta hero in each. And a Meta overall.

You named it yourself. Microtransactions.

No System that is intended to make Money will be cut out. Out of no Game. Not this, and none of any other Game from any big Publisher.
If you dont like this stuff, like me, you have 2 Options.
Play older titles.
Play Indie Games.

Dont count on bigger titles.
you are right

At the very least it would be nice to have a no-clown option that removes the visual customisation and leaves everyone looking like rank and file soldiers.

I really like that you could have your own face in Rainbow Six Vegas.
But for bodies yeah, generic stuff with meaningless cosmetic stuff like chosing your pouches and that's it.
