Delta Force's anti-cheat is trash - ACE Bans players running G-Hub

Second time I'm having to post this as the last one got removed by the mods.. If that's not enough of a Red Flag, read on.

I was running G-Hub to remap my DPI Up action from the ones on my G502 mouse because putting DPI buttons directly onto your left click is stupid (way too easy to accidently change DPI in the heat of combat)

Anyway it was working great remapping this down to my G915's G1 key on the keyboard.

At first a lot of people were saying.. "I run G Hub and I didn't get banned.. you ain't telling the full story bud" etc.. And that just frustrated me further because this is EXACTLY what happened.

Then I found more exact evidence this is what's causing the problem. There are Reddit threads with numerous accounts of players getting various degrees of account suspension and the only way to make it go away was for them to stop G Hub.

From my research at this point it's caused when you remap actions using the Assignment feature. Since ACE is a kernel level anti-cheat platform - it scans for keywords i.e. "macro" in memory. If detected, it flags the application that issued an in memory operation with that keyword and bans the user.

Well given Logitech refer to the G915 G1, G2 etc. keys as their "Macro" keys, you can pretty much guess why this happened now.

So no it probably won't impact every player, I was fine playing the game without issue for 30 days of the trial.. till we came across an actual hacking squad and managed through some miracle to shoot the dirty cheaters from 2 different angles at the same time so they couldn't snap-lock both me an my teammate.

Very next game came the Perma 10 year ban, and this is likely due to that squad being pretty angry even with cheats they still got wiped.. so they would have swarm reported.. and at that point ACE would kick in and an admin would check if ACE had flagged any suspect software on that user's device.. and that's when it's GG

So in summary.. if you want to play this game, don't use G-Hub coz if disgruntled players report you.. it'll likely process you as if you were cheating even if you aren't.

I think it's pathetic ACE can't tell the difference between a key re-assignment vs an actual macro (multiple keyboard and/or mouse inputs chained together with consistently repeatable sequencing and input delays)

Any dedicated macro software or use of macros is as stated on several pages and the GTI homepage forbidden.

Use of macros will result after several possible kick warnings, to a permanent ban.

ACE is a top notch anti cheat, and also keeps on learning as the development progresses.
