Why is there an annoying launcher? We do not need it. I click 'try again' and it works just fine. It's been like this since launch

Same issue, was going to make a post about it. Every time I open the launcher it fails to login the FIRST time, the second time it works.

Also, the tutorials in the menus keep appearing, telling me how to equip guns and modify them despite doing it a thousand times already, and it keeps changing my selected operators too.

Someone mentioned this in an other thread and worked for me:

"The launcher is kind of bugged, Right click on the game > Properties > Installed Files > Browse, In the file explorer you should see "Game" and "Launcher", go to Launcher > Cache and look for "session.txt" in the folders, delete/move/rename that file, the launcher will generate a fresh one on login

I had this problem and fixed it. I am assuming you played the demo or the beta when it was out? You have 2 launchers on your PC for the game. Uninstall both games in steam. Then you are going to want to go to "driveletter:\Steam\steamapps\common\" and make sure there are no folders in there for delta force. If there are, delete them.

Then open your start menu and type "%appdata%" without the quotations. After hitting "enter" on your KB, it will open a folder with a path like this "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming". In that folder you will see some other folders. Delete anything starting with "df_" because that's what delta force uses for some reason.

After you do that, reinstall the game and you will not have any login issues. At least, this is what worked for me. It's just the two installs of the game conflicting with each other.
