RAM 97% constantly
I've been playing delta force recently and my laptops ram keeps maxing out. I have a 8GBx2 DDR5 ram and when i play delta force with no background apps it reaches 97% ram usage in 2 seconds. It leads to crackling audio and sound loss. I play on medium setting and even when on ultra low settings, and a laptop restart it keeps maxing to 97%. I'm suspecting a memory leak but I need assistance. Thanks

Having the same issue on a desktop, +1

What is the temperature of your laptop components when you play? What GPU do you have?

If your GPU does not have high enough Vram, it may supplement it from your 8gbs of RAM.
Internal temperature can also affect your gameplay.

If it were a memory leak, a lot of people would be reporting the same issue. Like for example, Google Chrome and the memory leak that hundreds of thousands reported.

Hope you find your answer.

A game will pull from your GPU pool first. If that's not enough it dips into system RAM. Short of it: You do not want it to pull from your RAM at all.

Make sure your laptop has a modern-friendly GPU in it. If it DOES, then make sure windows forces it to use the High Performance GPU and not the integrated.

lol 8GB ram is your problem, these days the min to have would be 16GB..... 8GB was fine like 10 years ago.... especially if your ram is being split up between system ram and video ram... you are not gunna have a good time....

Since the smallest module of DDR5 that is made is 8GB, im sure its a total on 16GB.

(8GBx2)

I have 16GB DDR5 I said it's 8GBx2
Also I have a mobile rtx 3060, not super sure the vram is as I'm away from my laptop currently.
I have not been able to fix the maxed out memory issue however i found a fix for audio if anyone's wondering.
I have my headphones plugged into a focusrite scarlet 4i4. The software freaks out when the ram reaches 100% leading to delayed and crackling audio. But plugging the headphones directly to the laptop seems to fix these audio bugs and I've been playing smoothly since. Still can't have tabs open in the background tho.

Why do people have 16GB ram ? RAM is so affordable. Having 32GB is like ticking the box of importance. It's the same as having an NVME drive for your OS. It's a must...

mobile rtx 3060 has 6 Gb VRAM, not too much by modern standards of gaming.
Set everything to low.

He has a laptop. And on some laptops one slot is behind the motherboard, so you have to disassemble the whole laptop to change ram. Not everyone knows how to do this.
