What makes people think this is spyware?

Kernel level anti cheat is certainly capable of going full spyware but people instantly assume that it does for no reason

Plenty of other games have kernel level anti cheat and people are mostly fine with that it's just that this game has a Chinese developer and people think for some reason the CCP is interested their data

why is it not uninstalled and continues to run in the background when the game is uninstalled? because its spyware

Hm, why would spyware that sends unknown amounts of personal data to random IPs in china/japan, unnecessary spyware with unnecessary kernel level access that doesn't get removed on uninstalling, be a bad thing?

Well, the thing about that is that the rest of the world outside of China, Russia and North Korea aren't paranoid about being overthrown by revolutionaries, because said other countries don't actively oppress and belittle their people. As such they don't need to keep an eye on every action and every word that's typed into any computer.

Let's be real, that's ultimately why that spyware exists.

How does it matter that it's used in other games? It functions the same way either way.

Probably because most if not all of the games featuring it are crappy phone games that nobody actually takes seriously enough to do the research and fact finding necessary to find out that this spyware has infected their devices.

Goddess of Victory: Nikke
Honor of Kings
Call of Duty: Mobile
Arena of Valor
Dragon Raja
Strinova
Dungeonborne
Delta Force

People in countries where this stuff is prevalent don't have the choice to say no, but the rest of the world is not like that. They wanted to make a bigger, more serious game then it comes with the responsibilities and criticisms that would come with that bigger game in other parts of the world.

and the rest of the world says this: take your garbage spyware and go the ♥♥♥♥ away.
