7800X3D + 4080 Super + NVME + 32GB Ram + 3440x1440 and I get 0 stutter.

Game's buttery smooth for me.

Thanks man! Did you have to do anything to get it smooth or was sit out of the box? Also what drivers you have?

With your configuration without an insult, it makes sense that dx11 helps you.

what makes sense? 7000 series isn't old card to perform better on dx11, he should be getting higher average framerate on DX12.

the only thing that 100% helps for AMD is rolling back to 24.8.1, you get lower avg fps but game is smooth as butter

Hopefully they talked with AMD to hurry up with the new drivers or something mate. Its been an issue since the global launch, because it didnt happen in the alpha/beta

Gonna try it out myself in a bit here

That did the trick! Thanks!

to anyone who might catch this, i have 5800x3d/6800xt and i had flawless performance during the first playtest on steam with everything on low, likely on the august drivers. upon release i had nigh unplayable stuttering, here is what i did:
- tried -dx11 and -useallavailablecores. this helped but it was still bad (smoke and getting into 1v1 front on gunfights would often cause a halting stutter)
- i tried the disable USB trick in the power plan options. this did nothing for me
- i tried to recompile shaders using both the g key in graphics options AND deleting text in the .ini file. this is supposed to fix it if you've changed to low settings - i couldnt get it to recompile, still cant.
- i uninstalled on steam and used the standalone launcher with the dx11 and use cores launch options (this did recomp the shaders but only to the default graphics settings, which is ultra or something). this was maybe marginally better, but probably not.
- i disabled prefetch in registry. this did nothing noticeable
- reverted back to august drivers. nope
- i turned off SAM on the adrenaline software and restarted. THIS FIXED IT.
whether it was some combo of things or just SAM i dont know, but thats the last thing i did and it had the biggest result. so now i am on the launcher, dx11 and all cores options, december drivers, SAM off, USB thing and prefetch disabled. when the map is being loaded i do still get stutter and on the odd occasion when there is smoke everywhere there is a small dip but absolutely nothing like it was before, its pretty good for 95% of the time.

Just SAM, my problems was solved doing that, only turn off SAM
MightyKay Dec 29, 2024 @ 1:52pm
For AMD going back to 24.8.10 and turning SAM off fixed my stuttering

I am also an amd user and you guys have to disable SAM/rezise bar in the amd software or via. BIOS. And now its fixed.
