Obviously, avoid hot areas, I think you can profit w/o going to safes or doint any loud mission.
But silent travel was the key for me, almost never running (except when running from someone), listening carfully and when I hear something, I start the crouch walking or even stop completely if I am in a good cover. Always choosing "quieter" terrain to walk over, metal floors being the worst, then concrete, then dirt, then grass. But high grass and bushes make a lot of noise too.
Then equipment means a bunch. If you can't afford lvl 3 armor and ammo I would suggest avoiding conflicts with players altogether until you have enough resoources again to come better prepared.
Ah, and missions, especially in the beginning they will just throw a cash at you, just be sure to pick up all available missions and then rewards once they're done. I think in the beginning missions are so easy that you will be finishing them w/o even trying :)
Good luck and be sure to forget all those if we meet on the opposite sides :D
Now if you're out of coupon here what you can do :
go afk for 5-10mn in some bush or behind rock somewhere near map edge, once time reach 5-10mn aim for building with safe (you can see on map) usualy they're looted by pro player who rush map to kill boss and loot safe/computer , and you'll find all the body around from npc guard and even player, also check every lootable container usualy they're not looted . you can now extract with around 100-400k loot from the easiest map (yea the first one if you play operation).
60-70% of time i don't see any player doing that once you're geared back you can ambush high level player with nice gear if you shot the leg even with low level ammo it's gonna be fixed soon i guess but player can go down super fast just by shooting legs (armor and helmet are pointless if you've mid/high level of ammo anyway).
Good luck to you.
Just one thing : what am I supposed to loot ? How am I supposed to know what are high-value items ? And where and how to trade these ?
Sometimes, I just loot some rubbish and I don't know whether this has any market value.
Or just loot other people, let them do the work for you.
I've just been able to sell a broken military radio for $80K.
That's wahouh.
In the beginning, I wasn't able to figure out why my teammates were looting rubbish.
Now, I understand. It's the only way to cash in and upgrade.
Shoot, loot, and scoot !
This is an L take. This is an extraction shooter. They are not going to implement this just cause you have gear fear. You made the choice to bring your expensive pew pew into the match and you died. There would be no risk in people dying, cause you would just get your bought items back??? NO. We are already dealing with gold/red armor players farming noobs in easy modes and without them losing their gear from death, they would just become power houses with an endless supply of weapons and consumables.
TLDR: If you have gear fear, play different genre of games, or run in naked and never use your store bought gear.
Knife your first enemy, or first 3 enemies to death if you're farming for the knife badge. Then use the equipment from them to kill all other enemies you run across. Stinger's heal gives you temporary pain relief so you don't need surgery kits. If you get any injuries you can use the heals to ignore the injury. If you need a larger bag, the crocodile at the southern area of the map is usually guarding a crate that has a green bag with 1-3 weapon attachments.
The plus side is if you go in with nothing, everything you extract with is pure profit. You can hold 2 guns you get from the NPCs instead of one. Which is usually 20-50k profit. The armour you can sell every time you extract (the blue armour stuff usually sells for around 10k and shieldbearers usually have at least one blue piece). Pretty common to make 100-200k per run. Killing players is a bit hard with the inferior gear. Which is why I avoid confrontations when possible. Lay low until they pass.
I've never tried this but sounds like a fun challenge. I'd use Hackclaw though because of the throwing knife.
