Is the anti-cheat really just spyware?

I heard rumors that the anti-cheat is just a trojan horse for spyware. I'm afraid to play the game if it really is spyware. The game does look fun, but I question its software.

Please explain to me how this is or isn't spyware.

While I can't answer that, I can tell you that the anti-cheat doesn't work. I put a couple hours in and I've already encountered multiple obvious cheaters.

why is the anti-cheat not uninstalled when you uninstall the game? because it's spyware!

Its a kernal based anti cheat, many anti cheats are. People like to copy what others say without actually understanding and looking to spread BS for no reason at all.

ACE does not run when the game is not running

You can literally check the services in CMD Prompt ( most don't know anything about computers, again showing that they are just sheep and copying and pasting what the other idiot said ) If you want to test it, just open CMD and type the following and you will get the information you need

sc query ACE-BASE

sc query ACE-GAME

sc query "AntiCheatExpert Service"

If the game is closed you should see that under state, it will say 1 stopped

In terms of uninstalling, it has already been confirmed that it should and they released a patch and made sure the anti cheat gets removed when you uninstall the game. The Anti cheat is pretty much like most Anti cheats, its actually better in terms of privacy over Valorants which does actually start up with the computer and stays installed, even if you remove valorant. Easy Anti cheat which is a popular and known anti cheat also operates as a kernal driver which keeps running in services even when the game isn't running ( you can prevent easy anti cheat from running after but changing the service to manual btw )

At the end of the day, people love to just moan, cry and complain without actually understanding the topic in hand. Most are too lazy to do their own research or don't know how too lol
