(everything refers to warfare, i have no idea how it is with the extraction mode garbage)

I've had excellent results with logitech headsets and their RMA/warranty policy is insanely good. I had a G29 wheel break on me and they sent me a new one without even sending my own wheel back because I guess I've been a very loyal customer and they knew me.
I also have very good experience with HyperX products.

It's currently 46% off, $130 down to $70.
If you want something higher-end, pricier, that also works wirelessly:

All are good choices but I'd go with Logitech on this one. All the headsets I like are off the market. XPG Precog analog is a Hi-Res audio headset, 2 channels but it uses an electrostatic driver instead of a typical speaker, but it's been discontinued. Amazing at telling direction though. No virtual surround, no nothing. Before this headset (the Precog analog) I had a Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 which is a 10-speaker (5 on both sides) headset and offered true 7.1 surround sound, again, discontinued.
If I had to buy a virtual surround sound headset, I'd either go with Razer or Logitech.
Virtual Surround generally sounds bad/artificial but you don't need a specific type of headphone to use it. Stuff like Dolby Access with Atmos or DTS Headphone:X works with any headphones.
Also the static "generic shouting and battlefield background noise" that is just constantly going even if you're in the middle of nowhere by yourself in warfare is incredibly annoying once you notice it. And now everyone who read this will. you're welcome. :P
I couldn't find any current headsets with an acceptable sound quality to replace my sennheiser game one's when they finally fell apart and ended up swapping to a set of beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro's and a separate mic.

or if you already have a microphone, get their real headphones instead of their gaming line:
https://www.audio-technica.com/en-us/headphones/ath-a990z
or if you want open-back:
https://www.audio-technica.com/en-us/headphones/ath-ad900x
if too much:
https://www.audio-technica.com/en-us/headphones/ath-ad500x (open-back)
https://www.audio-technica.com/en-us/headphones/ath-a550z (closed back)
If you don't know what open or closed back means, closed back is better for noise cancelling, but open back sometimes sounds a bit better (less cluttered) and some people prefer to hear what's going on around them without having to take them off.
You can pair Windows Sonic with the Audio Technica ones for spatial audio.
edit: Oh sorry, you already relied to me and said you're going with Logitech G PRO headset, yeah you'll love em, I guarantee it.
Leaving the content here though in case others want it. Audio Technica is really good, better than anything Sennheiser made.
I'll give you a prize, I have the M50X and they work perfectly with HRTF.
As the other said, Audio-Technica is excellent for sound, clarity and comfort. Now if you prefer something more emulated, the most advisable in those terms are the Logitech G935
