making you a one man army is gonna take away the teamwork required to get stuff done,so certain things are locked behind certain classes and characters to encourage team diversity
"team diversity" the difference in classes defines their devices (respawn beacon, rocket launchers, boxes with heals or ammo) but not weapons. Old Battlefield games are cringe that forces you to play a certain class for the sake of weapons. I don't remember which part it was, but I played as an engineer with AS VAL but I didn't repair my teammates' cars and didn't destroy enemy cars because I wasn't interested in it. It doesn't fit my playstyle. In BF 2042 people were finally able to play the class they were interested in and with the weapons they were interested in playing with.
"One man army"? A joke or what? This expression is more related to Quake where you have all the weapons at any time. What difference does it make if my medic has an M249 or a P90? Especially if every player has this opportunity.
Teamwork depends primarily on the player's interest in teamwork. Nothing prevents players from running on a medic and dropping ammo only for themselves and not reviving anyone.
