Pros-cons with Delta Force 2024 Final Review
Delta Force is one of the standout FPS games available today. It offers a free-to-play experience without the pitfalls of pay-to-win mechanics, which is commendable. However, as the game is still in its beta phase, there are several areas that need improvement. The net coding requires significant attention, and numerous aspects of the game need fixing and balancing. Additionally, the anti-cheat system needs to be thoroughly reviewed and optimized to ensure a fair playing environment. Another concern is the skill-based matchmaking, which feels overly stringent, impacting both ranked and regular matches. And this comes over 100 hours invested into the game (played).

Overall, Delta Force shows great potential, but addressing these issues will be crucial for its long-term success.

Pros:

• Fun Gameplay: Whether playing solo or with friends, the game delivers a genuinely enjoyable experience.
• Creative Abilities: The character abilities are not only effective but also incredibly fun to use, adding variety to gameplay.
• Weapon Balance: There’s no defined META in the game, which is a breath of fresh air. Any weapon can be effective with the right attachments and calibration. Other companies should take note of this innovative approach.
• Token System: The in-game token system is a big win. It's rewarding, especially with features like double EXP.
• Active Dev Support: Weekly bans demonstrate that the developers care about maintaining a fair and enjoyable environment for all players.
• Maps: While limited and repetitive for now, the maps are still engaging and fun to play on.
• Event System: The event structure is excellent. Instead of tying everything to multiple battle passes, there’s a single, reasonably priced main battle pass. Events come with their own unique rewards, making the experience feel fresh and rewarding.

Cons:

• Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM):
Oh my days, SBMM is a major frustration. It either needs to be removed or significantly rebalanced. The current system creates one-sided matches by stacking skilled players on one team while leaving the other team struggling. For instance, with a 1.5 K/D, I often find myself carrying my team with 20+ kills, 10-15 medic revives, 30 assists, and countless deaths. Meanwhile, my teammates can barely reload their weapons. This system is infuriating and discourages players by creating an unfair experience.

• Vehicles (Tanks/Helis/Quads):
Vehicles are a major issue. Either they need to be removed entirely or rebalanced with longer respawn times. Additionally, players who use vehicles should have a cooldown period (e.g., 5 minutes) before they can use them again. It’s incredibly frustrating to face the same tank camping in one spot and farming kills repeatedly throughout a match, especially in modes like King of the Hill.

• Helicopter Controls:
The controls for helicopters are beyond frustrating. They feel unnecessarily complex and clunky—honestly, even a NASA rocket would be easier to control.

• Shotgun Balance:
Shotguns are ridiculously overpowered. It’s absurd to be killed from 20+ meters away with a single shot. This needs urgent rebalancing to ensure fair gameplay.

• Kernel System Anti-Cheat:
While the anti-cheat system shows promise, it still requires significant refinement. After reaching Colonel V, it became increasingly apparent that cheaters are more prevalent in higher-level lobbies. In one match alone, I encountered three individuals blatantly cheating. Unfortunately, the current system is not performing as intended—it fails to effectively detect and ban cheaters or deter them from ruining the gameplay experience for others. This is a critical issue that needs to be addressed to maintain fairness and protect the community’s trust in the game.

• Net Code and Servers:
The net code is a significant issue that seriously impacts gameplay. Despite having a reliable internet provider and consistently low ping in other games, I experience latency ranging from 70ms to 100ms in Delta Force for no apparent reason. This inconsistency is frustrating and detracts from the overall experience. Better servers and a thorough review of the net code are urgently needed to address this problem.

I sincerely hope the developers take this feedback to heart and work on addressing the issues outlined here. The game has so much potential, and it would be a shame to see it hindered by avoidable problems. Fixing the cons without altering the great aspects of the game would go a long way in ensuring its long-term success and keeping the community happy.

HAPPY 2025 FELLOW GAMERS.
