Error - Couldn't start

I'm getting this error everytime I launch the game:

Couldn't start:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Delta Force Demo\Game\DeltaForce/Binaries/Win64/DeltaForceClient-Win64-Shipping.exe" Delta Force -gamechannel=3 -psocache -UserDir=. CreateProcess() returned 2e4.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Same... "20 minutes playtime" and it's all failed launches...

Your Antivirus is most likely quarantining the exe (or at least Avast might as it did for me with error code 2) as it potentially sees the file as a "IDP.Generic threat". Either it's a firewall/antivirus issue or a permissions one, so make sure the file ...\Game\DeltaForce\Win64\DeltaForceClient-Win64.exe is present. Running it as administrator might also solve your issue. If you verify the file integrity and it says 1 file missing with 70 +/- Mb it's the missing exe. Just make sure it's whitelisted and trust the CCP.

In my case it was Avast One blocking a file. I disabled the antivirus and ran Delta Force repair / check game files. The repair reinstalled this missing file Avast blocked/ . I went into Avast settings/app permissions and changed the Avast permissions on the file to ALLOW.

You can also go into avast/explore/quarantine/ restore the file and add exception.

Back to normal/game launches without a hitch.
