Every remedy has been summoned to break this spell: clearing Steam’s cache to rid it of its cluttered past, verifying the sanctity of game files in the hopes of restoring balance. Yet, all efforts have met with silence, as if the update mocks us from behind an impenetrable veil.

I also got an error in red but immediately afterwards I was able to do file validation and downloaded the update (about 70 mb)
