Are there really a lot of cheaters?

Haven't downloaded the game yet. Despite how popular this game is I've been reading a fair share of negative reviews and a lot of criticism about poor balancing and cheating. Is this true?

Wrong. Depends on your region, Asian servers are flooded with cheating. Guaranteed at least 2 per lobby.

EU too. Sometimes it's also just overtuned bots.

dont bother downloading game is a mess and because cheats are paid cheats its harder to detect them and even if they get banned all they need to do is use a new account its a free game, we need something like hardware banns so they HAVE TO GET A NEW PC and not just change their IP via vpn etc.

Yes there are cheaters. Just look how many got banned last banwave.

Ever join mid match? That's because they detected a cheater and banned them live or someone left but found that's not often. There are cheaters and a lot of them wait till they do a ban wave then you will notice the paces of the matches. Its a very stark difference, no flying people, no infinite running characters, no teleportation, no lazer beams from across the map. Its a big difference and I like it. I just report anyone over 50 kills before they drop arty or sky nukes. Now there are some good players but shouldnt have 6 in a match with 50+ kills = very SUS so I just report and let the DEV figure it out.

Have you seen someone with 183 kills and not get ban?

Yep, you can literally see when ban waves happen.
For some time, everything starts to make sense in the game, and you don't experience bullsh1t deaths. Then everything returns. This all goes in cycles.

Not really, but steam will try to paint a different game, try it out, maybe you'll be surprised.

They are merely bots with arbitrary names, not hackers. I don't doubt that some might be hackers, but the majority are bots with impressive aim assist.
