Scope Glint
this is mainly a rant to be honest, but, what the hell is wrong with the scope glint?!

like i get it the dev want to make the player know that there's sniper aiming at you so they added glint on the long range scope.

but why on earth it shine like a spot light?!
like the 2042 have the same system for scope glint, just copy them.
if you are aiming at other sniper, just make the glint gradually disappear depending on the zoom level of your scope.

make counter sniper gameplay intresting. c'mon.....

actually have to add this because some people think i complain about the glint it self
no, what i am complaining is the enemy's glint so big that the weakness of "hey there's a glint here, so there is sniper looking at you" is useless because it's so blinding making the user outline disappear.

I think the glint is good it prevents snipers from sitting comfortably on the edge of the map trying to farm kills. It's already bad enough that snipers contribute nothing to the team for the most part. so i think it's a good penalty for them to have a nice glint like that.

its fine. either learn to consistently move around or face getting shot.

yes, what i am saying is not that they just make the glint disappear completely
what i meant is do what like the BF2042. if you are both sniping, make each other glint cancel out. the higher the zoom the less glint shine.

My bad i did misunderstand, i know what your talking about now, yeah i can agree with you on that. so when you are counter sniping it's not a flashlight in the scope staring at you. I may or may not have smoked a little too much today lol my bad on that

it's fine :). it's just infuriating me that the glint actually give an unfair advantage in sniper vs sniper.

nah the glint itself is fine
but if you are counter sniping is the problem. it's like facing a beacon of light blinding all the upper part of the enemy sniper

Yeah it's strange that they didn't cancel out the glint when the other player is also looking through a sniper scope. it's not even hard to implement in UE. maybe an oversight or they might not of even thought about it.

There is a literal kill cam with highlighting of who shot you from where. What reason would there need to be Scope Glint other than to simply coddle to the idiots who don't know how to play?

you mean the outline of the player that's the size of a spec of dirt because they are chillin in Narnia and the cam doesn't zoom to that range so you have no idea where in Narnia they are ? ok buddy lmao

the glint have it's purpose, i get it. but the intensity is the problem
it should have not shine like a spotlight, hiding the sniper using the glint as a concealment.
what they should do is do it like the 2042, if you are closer to the sniper it should make the glint fainter. that include the scope with high magnifier.
so basically, if sniper is aiming for another sniper the glint should just disappear. the closer that the sniper see each other (in this case higher scope magnifier) the fainter the glint till it just disappear

it most likely an oversight. but i do not like how it's still a problem right now.
there was a thread on reddit 5 month back and still nothing to fix it.
is there a way to give feed back?

My monitor is more than fine. the cam bugs out if people are really far and if any obstacles are in the way where your downed it bugs out. and you talk about coddling but coddling would to be letting someone sit in their spawn, sniping in a safe space camping out like a boy scout without any repercussions. Maybe try to PTFO and use a smaller zoom scope with no glint and be productive or deal with the glint lol

That sounds like you got your ass spanked by a BF Sniper and you are still mad about it type skill issue.
