I don't have to show you a video to prove my 4090 & i9 have no issues with the game. However, my laptop with an i9 & a 3050ti have the stutter issue. I can 100% guarantee i am experiencing the issue on my laptop & not my desktop. I play on ultimate preset with dlss quality rtx off in 4k at a stable 140+ frames.
It's not every computer experiencing the issue. I'm fairly certain it comes down to a vram issue. Any card with less than 10g of vram seem to ♥♥♥♥ the bed. It is 100% on the devs to find that ram leak.
I have 300+ hours logged this month. I would not play if I had the same stuttering issue on my desktop I do my laptop. Check my in-game hours if you don't believe me.
I have this problem with my 7900XTX which has 24GB of VRAM. So the amount of VRAM is not the issue. Also, MOST people have around 8GB. So if you were right, it would be a much more widespread issue.
Those "XL" versions of BF2042 game modes can clearly demonstrate that.
Please Try this options and back to me which one is worked for you
1) launch options put the command line -dx11
2) Power Plan Options > USB Settings >usb selective suspend setting ''DISABLE''
3) When you enter the game lobby, close completly game launcher on task manager
4)Steam\steamapps\common\Delta Force\Game\DeltaForce\Saved\Config\WindowsClient, no Engine.ini file paste the command at the end [SystemSettings]
r.PostProcessAAQuality=0
5) Put FPS Cap 120
It will fix everything!
RTX 4070
AMD 7700
32 GB 6000cl30
SSD NVMe
FPS cap can also be the cause of stuttering, in most cases it actually is, for a lot of games. Usually old ones.
"Fixes" are very random and that's the only consistant thing. One fix can work for many people and not work for you.
FPS cap can lead to a lot more stuttering.
The only thing that is true is that this issue is coming directly from the game. It's on dev side to fix.
All of the band-aid fixes can break the second they update the game.
We don't even know if they're aware of this, can be concerning since a lot of the playerbase is experiencing this issue. It's quite a big one for an FPS PVP game.
The only fix that seems to be consistent is to dump the shaders after 2-3 games. It'll significantly lower the stuttering until it comes back and you repeat this process.
"FPS cap can lead to a lot more stuttering" - still false
"The only thing that is true is that this issue is coming directly from the game" - also false
It comes from inability to fix/configure your potato.
Someone claiming that a fix is the only solution when talking about computer and games, is only showing that he doesn't have a lot of knowledge about those.
When you set an FPS cap, the GPU has a set amount of time to generate frames, if a frame fails to be generated during this set amount, you'll get a stutter.
Can be the case if you use V-sync for example.
Huh? You are not setting MINIMUM frames, you are setting a maximum. If you set a frame cap at 60 FPS, and you only get 40, it's not like the PC failed to hit a goal. It's not a goal, but a limit. You are not constricting the system, but limiting it's maximums, not minimums.
"if a frame fails to be generated during this set amount, you'll get a stutter." - that's why you set fps cap lower than your usual median frame rate in this game with this quality settings. I thought that's obvious, but I guess it's not.
"Can be the case if you use V-sync for example." - that's why I wasn't talking about v-sync.
