Besides, PVE in EFT (let's face it, Operations in DF is an exact copy of EFT) is the most popular mode.
Choices arent always good. It s just split the community to the point a mod is unplayable>
It s a PvP Multiplayer game, so we can turn the thing around and say that people asking for Solo mods and PvE are the one selfish here.
If you dont like Multiplayer PvP dont play this game?
Never understood people buying / playing a Multiplayer Game or a PvP game asking for Solo mod or PvE mod... that s make no sense at all.
Sadly lots of devs fall into the trap to try to please the community as much as possible, instead of just saying ''git gud that s our game there are plenty of other games out there''.
At the end the game becomes blend, people that like the game stop playing cause all the crap asked they decided to add and people that asked for that crap just stop playing anyway, going on the next ''new game'' to ask the same ♥♥♥♥ once again.
Nothing against you but this mentality is a plague in video games, especially Multiplayer PvP games that arent the majority of games.
I get it it s frustrating that there s some cheaters that s why Tarkov PvE mod is so successful. At least one of the major reason.
Wake up, not a lot of people is playing the game right now, they even had to remove some maps from rotation in Ops cause there's not enough people playing them. If they don't do something to attract more people, this is going to flop, and right now is not working, people are getting tired of sweats/cheaters, new players leave the game cause they're getting killed by full team players with purple/gold armor in easy ZD.
PVE could attract more people, that saved EFT cause right now is played by a lot of people, and yes, people would keep asking for this cause there's no other game like this for PVE.
There's no so many extraction shooters PVE and a lot of people want one.
Ofc there s not enough people playing, biggest issue are cheaters in Operation. When there s no weird ♥♥♥♥ it s actually fun.
Still major issue arent solved (or even adressed), TTK with bullets type vs armor type, the new system they just added is just the most stupid ♥♥♥♥ i ve seen making a map rotation for some reason with space city available for 2h and 2 others 1h when Space City is the most hated map of all 3.
Ranking system is also the most stupidest ♥♥♥♥ i ve ever seen... the only thing that rewards you is ''player kill'' that s not what an extraction shooter is about.
An extraction shooter is about going in a map having a mission or multiple missions to do, loot to be able to have money to buy better gear, survive and extract. It s definitely not about wiping the entire map of all players alive.
Worst part is that doing quests doesnt reward you, progressing in quest is nearly useless, the only good thing to upgrade in base is the Endurance buff that s it.
Killing a boss? No reward in term of ranking.
Extracting with 2M+? No reward
and so on... when all these actions are making noise which means attracting players, which means a fight and the risk to die.
The ''there s not enough players'' is just a stupid reason. Real question is why not more players play this mod?
Solving issue isnt even hard:
- Zero Damn => Easy Mod only / Layali and Brakkesh => Normal mod only / Space City => Difficult mod only
- Adapt quest and cards prices to those map levels
- Add a Maximum amout of gear value for Easy mod
- Add a ''recovery system'' if you got killed by a cheater
- Balance Bullets and Armors, example with blue bullets:
Green Armor = 50% damage on HP / 100% damage on armor
Blue Armor = 0% damage on HP / 100% damage on armor
Purple Armor = 0% damage on HP / 75% damage on armor
Yellow Armor = 0% damage on HP / 50% damage on armor
Red Armor = 0% damage on HP / 25% damage on armor
Parts without any protection takes 100% damage of bullets like arms and legs.
If you increase bullet to purple then it rank up in the same way so:
Green Armor = 75% damage on HP / 100% damage on armor
Blue Armor = 50% damage on HP / 100% damage on armor
Purple Armor = 0% damage on HP / 100% damage on armor
Yellow Armor = 0% damage on HP / 75% damage on armor
- Change ranked system so the only goal isnt to kill all players but killing a boss, extracting with lot of item value, killing mobs, doing quests, surviving.... actually does mean something instead of being just useless as ♥♥♥♥.
Right now it s simple => you loot during multiple games to make money, then to rank up you go full gear multiple times to only kill people.
ALL THE REST is just useless
- Add better upgrades in your Dark Site that actually mean something
For example not having the ammo fabrication built = no way to access ammo of the unlock not even in the market
Other buffs like a small HP buff, random gear being sent every X days depending on the level of the station... like REAL things to pay millions to upgrade and not only 1 single important thing to upgrade the endurance station...
- Rework spawns locations so you dont get into a fight less than 30sec after spawning.
- If the queue time is between 5 - 10 min, then the game launch no matter if there are other players or not. So you never know, maybe there are some players on the map, maybe not and you are lucky to be able to free loot and do your things.
If they make all those changes and try to be better at banning cheaters then they would have a lot more players on their extraction mod.
Maybe even add a ''solo mod'', even if i dont believe it s a good thing to have in those type of games.
Ask the devs, not me, they said that's the reason for the map rotation and for not implementing solo queue.
The reason for players not playing this mode is very simple:
- Niche mode, not a lot of people play extraction shooters.
- Cheaters
- Not equipment limit, making new players die against full gear players in easy and leave the game not even trying it.
And also others thing you mentioned, but I don't see devs doing something about it. Right now the game seems more focused on Warfare mode and if this goes on, I can see devs adding bots to Ops for the lacking of players.
not gonna play operations until they create a proper PvE only mode.
The idea of killing bots while some rat is killing you from behind is trash.
It was trash in Warzone DMZ and it is still trash in this game.
In short, Adding PvE mode wont split community at all as it is already split because of cheaters.
I´m so sick of this cheating,....
Sure it is 50/50 skill problem on my side, but i´m not that bad, getting so much insta headshotted from jumping guys and so many times they know exactly where i am, without detecting skills activated.
Did 30 extractions yesterday and did not bump in a single player...
But I support a PvE mode as well.
