Delta Force

Lack of US acknowledgement
I noticed that this game goes out of its way to avoid mentioning the U.S in any capacity. Many guns descriptions will indicate the country they are made in or were designed in.

Game mentions Russia and many other countries. Curious if the devs can comment on their lack of US acknowledgement in a game based around a US special forces team.

Fun game though

The politics behind it is actually interesting and important. Every Delta Force game had.... Delta Force in it, and yet, this version, which supposedly wants be a sequel to Delta Force, albeit updated to the modern era and with technological advances, makes no mention of US Delta Force operatives or their enemies.

My understanding is that game developers are under immense pressure from the US State Department not to feature combat between US soldiers and their enemies. Some will recall the controversy over the 2010 Medal of Honour game, where initially players could choose to be the US Army or the Taliban. A huge fanfare was whipped up, compelling EA to capitulate and change the names of both sides, even though the game was set in and clearly based on the war in Afghanistan.

I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of explicit reference to the U.S. Army and Delta Force is motivated by similar underpinnings.

I mean also this was created by a Large Chinese company. That would land them in hot water if they glorified anything of the u.s. in it.

Lack of US acknowledgment? Campaign is about US special force team deployed to Somalia. Vehicles in multiplayer are all USA made. Not a single Chinese, Russian or any other vehicle like MBT, IFV or heli. Guns are mix of US, Russian, EU and Chinese. Operators are also mix of US, EU, China and Russia.

Well thats exactly my point. This entire game is based off of US "assets" and yet when you read descriptions in game of weapons or vehicles it only mentions Russian and chinese made weapons. I believe one gun says made in Germany. The rest exists but for some reason it does not mention the origin which of course is the US.
