What to do first?

As a noob i'm having issues finding out which modes to focus on, a lot of the info on google seems to be for older versions of the game. Should I be doing operations mainly?

Warfare is where the action is at. I have no clue what Operations is. I see 3 or 4 players doing nothing, i guess even they dont know what is to be done.

The answer is to do what you want to do. Warfare is pretty cut and dry, and super easy to get into. Attack/Defend doesn't make you guess where to go, but you'll probably die often while you learn the game. King of the Hill is where the fun is in Warfare, and where things are most balances.

Operations is an extraction shooter, and is more like an entirely different game. You play it co-op, and it has some minor survival aspects. In Operations, you only get one life, so you have to play very carefully.

Ok, i have not tried king of the hill yet. I will though soon., Is it infantry only?

Nope. You get vehicles too, depending on the map. Some maps, like shafted, are infantry only though.
