I have almost the same problem: at first, the ping was 70-90+-, but now, since the end of last season, I almost always have a ping of 200-300, with rare exceptions, when it drops to 150 for one or two matches a week.

I believe the game chooses the best possible server during the matchmaking and not when you start the game it self. This is why it takes sooo long to start and sometimes takes too long to find a match. Either the rooms are full or the closest server from your location is full at the moment. It's a new design maybe, but it is a strange way. Try changing your local DNS or use VPN. I changed my DNS to the fastest server and it's been flawless ever since. I haven't tried VPN yet. If you may, I would be interested to know the difference.

i spawn in operations, i wait 2 minutes for my hud to show up if im lucky, my team is all missing because i took so long to spawn into game, if im unlucky i spawn and all i see is empty space because the map hasnt even loaded in properly. im in asia what do i do XD

It's your hardware thats causing problems for you. Try lowering your graph. settings

Per usual, when the game searches for servers to find they usually pick the best one, which is usually the nearest.

However, and I should have been clearer here, is that when I matchmake, it only takes me a few seconds, maybe 20 tops at most to connect, and yet I get European servers.

I also wait until it expands the matchmaking region, and still connect to European servers. Its always at 80-90 ping which is the typical ping range for me on any game when I connect to European servers.

if the game does indeed pick regions for me, then why when I get the "expanding matchmaking region" message, still get the usual ping range as if on EU? You would think I would connect to regions a bit farther like the US in example (which I average around 120-130ms), but nope. Its as if I'm locked in EU region, no more no less.

This could mean three things:
1. My account is locked to EU
2. The ping in-game is inaccurate
3. They lied about having a server in Saudi (but this doesn't explain why I don't get worse ping when waiting for too long/don't connect to other servers).

Eh, I’m the opposite. Instead of connecting me to EU servers it connected me to the Saudi Server. And I live in Eu!!
