Merit System
I really don't understand how the merit system works. 700 score/min, top player on both teams by a fairly large margin, joined midway...literally all the things that should signify a high merit game, yet I lose 6. Even with the +5 for joining late, I'm still -1 for the round had we not won. Please tell me how that makes sense.

Conversely, I've had significantly worse games with lower s/min and gotten +18 merit. Literally makes no sense.

dont lose
Because that is somehow only on me and not 31 others?

you are the only variable you can control. dont lose
Even in a win, you only get a couple merit. I just won a game, was 3rd overall, and lost 8 merit. The system is broken,

Higher the rank more score/min is required. General is often 750+. Anything less will give you negative merit. Does not matter which place in your team you are. Only score/min matters.

Its easier to get more points in KofH gamemode then A/D unless you are the guy with 50+ kills every match.

I generally hover around 40-50, with another 100 assists. Still seems broken

You performance is measured by the score per minute.
So no matter if you win or lose, nor if you joined mid fight.
It is how much you're contributing to the team.
How is that?

-Ressing people, specially high scoring people like the leaders, gives you extra ressing points.
-Capturing points, they give out the most points;
-Killing people by a range of 30m + with headshot;
-Resuppying people give cumulative points;
-Use your points for barrage and smokes and most important, the guided missile, it often turns the tide of the battle.

So in all you're measured on how the team is benefiting from your performance.
If you want to stay very far sniping people and not really doing anything in the front, you will heave the least points. Unless you never miss any shot and snipe the hell out of many, many people then you might get a high score.

I have like almost over 50h of gameplay and in the beggining i was confused by this system too. Now it makes a lot of sense. I've been top score player in many matches by just ressing people and almost no kills.

Again, I'm general 1, I get HOW to score. I just think the system is broken when a game can end and the top player, by far, in the match, loses merit. Just doesn't really make logical sense. By that logic, EVERYONE in the match should lose merit.

And many do, but keep in mind that most people have either merit points disabled or their skill keeps them on lowest 2 ranks where score/min is required much less, like 300-500/min.
You don't see that as a problem? The game ends, EVERYONE loses merit because either it was a short match or a long win. That is an illogical, broken, system.

I never said that system is good, i dont like it either despite being Marshall in both seasons. Its made so not everyone can reach highest rank, many people simply never will. But it punishes many types of play and forces you to stricly focus on score.

i'M in general too and on really rare ocasions i get negative points:
short matches
bad performance.

Being short matches like when you get hard stomped or you crush really fast the opponent and it last like 9mins or less.
There is a penalty that applies to "short duration match" and it can be very detritive.
A good "lasting match" should be around 20min+
This ranking system is f'd. Been stuck in General for a while. One match with 600 ppm ended with losing points when I was third on the team. Makes zero sense.
