Audio in warfare is atrocious
You hear random stuff happening between 20 to 100 meters around you but not the footsteps, gunshots or vehicle engines/movement that are literally up your ass.

And i know i'm not the only one since 99% of people react the same, they can't hear me and when they get shot, they have no idea where i am.

yah audio can be kinda funky, sometimes i cant tell whether they are in front or behind me and how tf do you hear footsteps if youre underground (operations) it should be dead quite
In my experience it seems like the footstep and engine audios get filtered out if there is too much going on with too many different audio sources.

This is likely what's happening but the priority of the sound culling is plainly wrong. The game should prioritize sounds that are closer to you, not ambient warfare sounds from entire 2km radius around.

You can't react to anything happening near you, people running around, firing. Can't even hear a tank creeping up behind you which is ridiculous.
Modern FPS Design, Halo Infinite, battlefield, COD, Delta Force... everything riggs the game sound so it can give free kills to other players at will.

Also, it's a feature cheaters don't have, because they rely on Wallhack so don't need to listen anything.

Battlefield have best sound design hands down. This crap on UE4 is peace of crap in terms sound and graphic.
