What do weapons stats mean?
I tried looking at resources in the game and the Steam guides but I can't find anything.

Fire rate is obvious. Accuracy I'm assuming is like other games. High accuracy means that when you shoot, the bullet is more likely to be close to center.
Stability, control and handling I'm not sure. One of them's gotta mean recoil.
oh and range I'm assuming means your damage fall off is less the further away you shoot.

Accuracy in this game mostly relates to hip firing, not really important if you mostly ADS. Control manages the recoil of the gun, both vertically and horizontally (probably the most important of the stats.). Handling controls how fast you move with the gun (movement, reloading and ADS speeds). Stability reduces the shakiness of the gun when you continuously fire and affects how the gun performs when you are holding breath.

For future reference, when you are choosing your gun in the loadout menu, there should be a button on the stats bar named, "Details" where it'll open up a multi-tab window where each tab focuses on each of those key stats, showing what each stat does and how it affects the gun.

Ahhhh thanks so much! The primary thing I wanted to improve was control then. I played around in the firing range with the newbie attachments and I couldn't really tell a difference; good to know for better guns/attachments in the future though.

You can click Details on the guns menu, it gives you breakdown of everything.
Stability affects sway as well. It's best to balance stability and control, while squeezing in as much handling. Stability can be made up for through calibration.
