What are Operator Cards used for?

I’m a bit confused about the purpose of operator cards in the Delta Force game. For instance, when I go to the store and check something like SUBROSA, it says I have 10 operator cards. Does anyone know what these are used for?

Useless crap like everything else the Game throws at you.

I thought Operator cards were the cosmetic things that are shown when you get a kill.

But ten seems really high when I've really only seen four or five for everybody I've investigated.

But ultimately, yeah, Praesi is right. It's just useless crap that tries to make your purchases feel justified when you gamble and don't get the only thing you want.

These are not the cards I'm talking about. The instructions I provided in the OP are different cards.
