Game freezing system

Game freezes and locks up the computer but sound still plays and the heat is normal


I had it freeze earlier today that just froze the game and not the whole system


Ryzen 8000 series laptop with a 4070 GPU

just a $1500 laptop I got last year so I would rather hope this isn't my system

I'm not doing a contact support here I am more or less asking if this is happening to anyone else and a fix is coming or if I'm gonna need to just contact their support (dreading it)

Put it on Low
Lock 30fps
run nothing else other than a heat monitor HWmonitor
max the fan
1900x1080

So, yeah this isn't a heat issue or graphics issue or an 'us' issue, its a them issue

It crashes on my 4070S, i5-12th gen, 32gb RAM, all installed on SSD.

I swear, I remember someone says something regarding this issue on the other thread. He says that if the AEC crashes, then your PC has to go with it. If that's true, then what's the point playing?

And for the first time ever, I'm having this issue. If I could run CP2077 with PT turned on, all running on 2K 90fps, smoothly, without crashing, freezing, or rebooting itself. Technically, the issue came from this game.

Feels like it could definitely be a problem with ACE crashing. But unsure.

I really hope I'm wrong too. XD

But almost every time I research, whether in Steam forum or Reddit, they always pointing out one culprit that causes the BSOD. And you guess it, it's the ACE related.

Also, majority of them they were running on intel's 13th and 14th gen. But some of them also an AMD user. I can't be certain if this issue alone, caused by intel's latest CPU.

I Have GPU and CPU from AMD. The problem with the crashes only exists since 19.02.25 the last update of df. That's why I think they could fix it with a patch, but I think they don't know the problem, because tomorrow an update is coming but nothing for the problem

Why should I set my FPS to 30? I have no heat problems, all games running fine. Only Delta Force is randomly crashing my PC (7800X3D, 7900 XTX, 64GB). Also Windows logs only a comment "computer wasn't correctly shut down"...

They changed something in their A.C.E. for sure. They're killing the kernel so hard, Windows doesn't even recognize.

Well, good thing is - EA App is also low level coded, I am running into "driver to old" errors, preventing game starts of BF & Co. - but APU is turned off in the BIOS and no drivers are even installed for it ^^

People only got stripped off their money. Okay, Delta Force just wants to get rid of some ^^

Well, exactly today that also happend to me, I thought it was my system or temp. but i have software running that tracks my systems health including temperatures and the graphs don't lie, everything fine, not even hitting 60°C (watercooled). For me i couldnt play a single game, while until today everything worked well maybe a BTD but no system freeze. I double checked and played Kingdome Come Deliverence 2 and The new Indiana Jones game, so both pretty damn Hungry and nothing happend.

I also ran Prime95 for about 30mins now without hitting anything above 70°C as well as a 3D Benchmark.

I am on Intel i9-10900K @32GB Ram and a 3090.

So, for me it seems like its the game.

Operation mode froze after enter loading screen. Forceful stop the game no respond either

YOU don't have these issues on a PC thats a few months old.. Are you seriously that slow? A brand new pc doesn't have any issue playing a brand new game... Weird. Actually I'd say there is no standard norm of what PCs won't have issues lol. But yeah the older you start going back, the more a chance of compatibility problems. The wonderful thing about PCs is how they are all different, even if they are the same. People have this idea stuck in their head tho that if they don't encounter issues, then there's no reason for anyone else to.

I personally haven't had any major issues, but issues nonetheless. I did see the game freeze a few times when I was on the gearing up screen. Also there's a couple files related to the game that keep crashing/erroring in Event Viewer lol. tbs_browser.exe and SGuard64.exe . I think one deals with the launcher and one with the anti-cheat.

They both error out roughly 10- times a day it looks like heh.

But my BIGGEST annoyance (which most people won't care about lol) is the fact that the game keeps overriding my global setting for V-sync which I have set to FORCE-ON, and setting it back to Use the 3D Application Setting.
